BEYOND Mining's Five 60-Ton Hydraulic Water-Well Rigs Arrive in North Africa; First BWR-600H Training Completed On Site
On September 10, 2026, five 60-ton hydraulic water-well drilling rigs dispatched to North Africa by BEYOND Mining & Engineering — a sister company of BEYOND Petroleum — crossed oceans and deserts to arrive safely at the project site. On September 16, the BEYOND team, working alongside the client's drilling crew, completed the first training session on the BWR-600H water-well drilling rig. Delivering equipment is only one part of the job; ensuring that on-site operators can run the rigs safely and at maximum capacity is what determines whether a water-well project stays on schedule.
Delivered Across Oceans and Deserts
The five 60-ton hydraulic water-well drilling rigs crossed oceans and deserts and arrived safely at the project site on September 10, providing solid equipment support for the project's progress.
Service First: People and Coordination Arrive Ahead
Cindy, the project lead from BEYOND Mining & Engineering, arrived on site as early as September 1 to study the project, familiarize herself with site conditions, and assist the client company with project coordination. On September 14, Beyond General Manager Alex arrived at the project site to prepare for on-site service.
Training Is Not an “Add-On” — It Is Part of the Solution
Delivering equipment is only part of the equation. BEYOND has always regarded rig commissioning and operator training as an indispensable part of an integrated drilling solution — not an afterthought.
On September 16, the BEYOND team, working together with the drilling crew, completed the first training session on the BWR-600H water-well drilling rig. The training covered the following theoretical modules:
• Rig fundamentals — structure, main systems, and how a water-well rig works
• Air compressors — working principles and key operating points
• Solids control system — mud circulation and cuttings handling
• Drill-string connections — joint types and thread forms
• On-site drilling methods and operating modes
Watching the team go from facing a “new rig” to confidently running “our rig” in a single day — this is the part of our work we enjoy the most.
